Kosovo removes 10 percent tariff on US ship-ins to promote trade
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting, with Prime Minister Albin Kurti stating that all US-origin products will now enter Kosovo duty-free. He expressed confidence that this move will enhance trade volumes and attract future US investments.
Industry and Trade Minister Rozeta Hajdari added that removing the tariff paves the way for a potential free trade agreement between Kosovo and the US and will strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had signed an executive order imposing tariffs on imports to the US, including a 10% tariff on products from Kosovo.
