Waipahu Street Arch Bridge fully reopens to traffic
HONOLULU – Waipahu Street Arch Bridge has fully reopened to traffic in both directions following the completion of critical repairs to reinforce the bridge’s foundations, which were undermined during the Kona Low storm in March 2026.
While the bridge is fully reopened to traffic, work continues underneath the structure. Remaining improvements include installing rocks to stabilize the streambed and protect it against future erosion. This work is expected to be completed by October 2026.
